Sorting and Filtering On Traffic By Country

Let's say that you wanted to know which stores were popular with people from a specific country. As an example, we'll try to find the stores that are most-visited by people in Canada. One approach is to filter stores based on their country of operation. In this case, that means filtering on Canadian ecommerce merchants. While this approach will return decent results, it doesn't answer the original question since it leaves out stores, popular with Canadians, that operate outside of Canada.

Column Customization in Store Search Results

A while ago, we added the ability to re-order the columns displayed in domain search results. That was helpful, but what if you really wanted to see some data that we didn't include on the search results page, or you just weren't interested in some of the data we showed. It's now possible to completely customize the list of columns. To get started, while looking at the main domain page, click on the icon in the bottom right corner of the page.

Advanced Search for Apps

We've just introduced Advanced Search for apps which allows you to segment app searches in ways that were not possible before. Advanced Search for apps allows you to filter by: Average Rating App Store Category Creation date Install Count Review Count Platform App Status Vendor With this new feature, it's possible to express complex logic in your searches (such as "return all Shopify apps that have at least 4 stars and are installed on between 1000 and 5000 stores"

Store List by App Search Results

Let's say that you want to list all Shopify stores that have a dropshipping app installed. This has always been possible through Advanced Search but it can be fairly tedious to craft the right search since you'd need to find and click on each dropshipping app separately. We've just introduced an easier way to search for all stores that have a set of apps installed. To start, visit the App page and run any App search.

WooCommerce Stores

We've just added support for stores running on WooCommerce to the Store Leads database. WooCommerce is an open-source ecommerce platform that runs on the WordPress platform. It is popular with merchants that want to host their own store, need the flexibility of an open-source system or are already familiar with and running WordPress. WooCommerce was launched in late 2011 and is used by several million merchants. It's hard to know the exact amount, but it's likely somewhere between 3 and 4 million.

Pricing Changes

We'll be adding support for new ecommerce platforms to Store Leads fairly soon. Support for WooCommerce will be added within the next 10 days and PrestaShop will be added sometime in February. To prepare for these additions, we've decided to change the way we price our product. We've been planning to increase prices for a while, since the current prices were set shortly after launch and we've added a ton of new features since then.

Segment Stores by App and Technology Uninstallation Date

We've added the ability to segment stores by the date that a store uninstalled a specific app or technology. To filter by app uninstall date, start by filtering stores on a single app. Filter stores that have a specific app installed When you do this, new filtering option are revealed which allow you to set an app uninstall date range. App and Technology Change Logs

A few months ago, we added a time series chart that showed the number of apps installed on every store in the Store Leads database. The chart, which appears under the list of apps that are currently installed on the store, let you see how merchants were installing and uninstalling apps. This was useful information but, until now, there was no way to know which apps had been tried in the past and removed.
