Historical App Install Counts

Historical context is critical for understanding a trend. If we know that an app is installed on 10,000 stores, then we can deduce that it is fairly successful otherwise it would never have been installed that many times. But we don't know if the app's install base is growing, holding steady or shrinking. We've just started tracking historical app install counts to help answer these questions. You can see a chart of the app's historical install counts on the app detail view.

LinkedIn

Many stores link to their accounts on the large social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter) as a means to drive engagement with customers. It's less common, but many stores also link to their company page on LinkedIn, often as a way to attract potential employees. Seeing the LinkedIn page for a store can help marketers and app developers get a better understanding of a store. As a result, we're now showing LinkedIn company pages for stores.

Filter Stores on Social Network Follower Counts

A few months ago, we added the number of followers on social media for stores in our database. While it was useful to see this information, it was not possible to filter stores on follower counts. Until now. Use Advanced Search to filter stores on the number of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter followers. Facebook followers filter. Filtering by followers is also supported in our API.

Magento Stores

We've just added support for stores running on Magento to the Store Leads database. This was a fairly big change for our architecture since, historically, we have been focused on stores running on platforms that were hosted by a specific company (e.g., Shopify) which made it a lot easier for us to identify domains. However, Magento can be hosted on your own servers or on any of hundreds of different hosting platforms.

Average Product Price

Ever wanted to know if a store sells big ticket items or relatively inexpensive goods? We've added the average product price to store details to make this analysis easy. Average product price. Average price data is also available through our API.

Shopify Plus Segmentation

We are now identifying Shopify stores that use Shopify Plus. Shopify Plus is the most flexible (and expensive) pricing plan offered by Shopify. To see the list of Shopify Plus stores, use our new Plan filter to segment the search results. New App Notifications. We're only able to identify Shopify Plus stores, so the remaining stores are labelled Unknown. Since we also track pricing plans for merchants using Square Online, you may also see other pricing plans listed if you have not segmented the search results to include only Shopify stores.

New App Notifications

New apps are being added to the Shopify App Store at an astonishing rate. 93 new apps were publishing in June 2018 alone. As great as the Shopify App Store is, it doesn't do a good job of showing newly published apps. There's a New and Noteworthy but it only includes apps a subset of apps. If you're working in the Shopify ecosystem, or specifically on Shopify apps, it's important to keep track of all new apps so that you are aware of the changing competitive landscape.

App Export

We recently added the ability to search for Apps. App search works a lot like Domain search but there was one important difference: it was not possible to export Apps. Based on your feedback, we've added export to the Apps page. Simply click on the export button in the top right corner of the page to export Apps. After a few seconds, you'll receive a CSV file containing all the Apps that match your current search.

Graphical Results for Store Search

Sometimes it can be easier to understand things visually. To that end, we've added a graphical summary of our store search results. To see the graphs, click on the graph toggle icon in our search controls. That's the icon with 3 vertical bars immediately to the left of the word "Clear". Search controls When you do this, the search result list is replaced with graphs that summarize the search results.

Segment Stores by App Installation Date

We've added the ability to segment stores by the date that the store installed a specific app. Start by filtering stores on a single installed app. Filter stores that have a specific app installed When you do this, a new column is added to the search results showing the date at which each store installed the app. App installed date in search results You also now have the option of sorting the search results by app installation date.
