Introducing the API
We've added an API to support programmatic access to our data. This allows you to integrate the information we collect into whatever you need to get your job done.
In the spirit of starting small, we're launching with a fairly modest feature set but expect it to grow over time. The API currently provides information for Shopify domains and apps.
You can retrieve information for a Shopify domain based on the public DNS domain name or the myshopify.com domain. We'll return various domain attributes including:
- Domain name
- Merchant name
- Country code
- Created date
- Worldwide rank
- List of installed Shopify apps
- Theme data
- Social media accounts
- Email adddresses
Note that personal email addresses are redacted in some regions for compliance reasons. You may read our Privacy Policy for more details.

We also provide endpoints for retrieving information on Shopify apps. You can lookup data for a single Shopify app or list all apps (with options to filter the result set and modify the sort order).
